I reconfigured a server windows 2003 that was running MAS 90. Prior to my reconfiguration (doing mostly DHCP/Active directory/Norton Corp. installs) users compalined about MAS 90 speed. After my configurations I was called back and they said MAS 90 was going even slower. I checked services and everything was in working order, I am not a Mas 90 user so I am unsure if Mas 90 needed any special services or anything enabled to run smoothly. Anybody have any suggestions for access speed increase?

Thanks

After upgrading to Xp Sp2 on our work stations, the automatic software firewall kicked in, and this killed performance.

Turning it off on workstations made a big difference for me.

That's all I got.

What changes did you make on the server? Are you able to change the configuration back to see if performance returns?

I found one workstation that had slow MAS performance. I finally traced the problem to the fact the network connection was running at half duplex. For some reason the auto setting was incompatible between the net connection on the computer and the network switch. When I forced the connection to full duplex, performance was normal.
