I need to run MAS 90 (version 3.1) over a VPN. I am being told that if I do so and there is a disruption of the connection between the server and the client machine that it will corrupt the MAS 90 database. How can I access a MAS 90 database remotely????

Hi, MAS90 is not designed to be run over a VPN. The reason is that it transfers all the data to the workstation & then it is returned upon completion - this is why you can get data corruptions (and you most likely will...) I would suggest using PCAnywhere or an equivelent. If you have a great need to run over a VPN, upgrade to MAS200 - it is Client Server & will run fine over a VPN.

We're running MAS90 remotely for 20 users across the wan via Citrix within a VPN. Works like a charm!
