Is there a way to setup the MAS fqdn (ex .if an external user just types in mas.customerdomain.com) to go directly to the AWC user portal rather than giving the 3 options - AWC User Portal, My Unified Communications, Server Manager?

pre release 2 you went to mas.customerdomain.com/awc and that took you straight there. I know that AWC has now been put into the User Portal, have they taken away the/awc?

To get to just the portal its That goes straight to the portal. Not sure if the user portal works externally without the MBG and web proxy. Try it though

This is something I actually have an open ticket with Mitel tech support right now.
For example, we have awc.mydomain.com This takes you to a page that allows you to choose between server manager or user portal. Yes, I know we can do awc.mydomain.com/awc but that's not what we want to show to our users.
Apparantly Mitel has not clue. All I really want to do is beable to upload my own page. Then it's a simple thing to do a html redirect. But restrictions on the server don't allow me to. The Mitel tech said the question would have to go to design for an answer.

I may have some extra time this week because we'll be a bit slow with the holidays and all so maybe I can try to hack it out.

any dealers out there that had a MAS 1.2 demo system?

Did you have to pay to get the CSM portion?

Looks like there is a free upgrade but if you want the CSM portion you have to pay. is that correct?

Ok, here is the answer to sending user directly to the AWC portal instead of the page where they have the option of going to either the user portal or the server manager.

I wrote a quick How-to. Use at own risk. It's helpful if you know HTML.
If you like it - send beer.

How to Modify AWC server to automatically route user to <doman>/awc

1: Download from internet a program called winSCP. This will allow you to use secure FTP to upload modified files.

2: Use winSCP to browse to /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html
The file you need is index.html. Copy it to your hard drive.

3: Modify the index.html file to include the following line:
<meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0;url=http://<your FQDN>/awc">
This line must be in the section <head> and </head>

Be aware of the following note in the code:
<!--

Manual changes will be lost when this file is regenerated.

This would seem to indicate that if you make changes to your server, your changes will be deleted. You’ll then have to redo the file.
