Hi,

I've installed MAS 1.2 running on MSL 8.5.
installed went fine however trying to use either the user portal or the users and services gives me webpage unavailable. tried on several PC's so it's not my laptop.
I've resintalled the MSL and MAS - same problem.
anyone experienced the same issue before?

Have you tried using telnet (SSH onto port 2005 if I remember correctly) to get onto the server, as a test.

I sounds to me as if you are trying to access from a different network than the one the MAS is on and you have not set up the local networks to allow access.

Easiest fix is to place you laptop on the same network, access the server manager and add all appropriate local networks for management and voice.

Access also depends on how it's setup. On a CX that I setup recently, the LAN nic was set to for example 10.10.10.1, when I used telnet to get onto the MSL setup I had to run through the setup and assign another address for the WAN port on the CX. I my case I gave this a LAN address also for example 10.10.10.2. This was then plugged onto the LAN switch.

I could then web onto that address to setup the teleworker blade. I then used https:\\10.10.10.2\server-manager

KWB's answer is normally the one to that problem.

Ah hang on, just re-read that. Yes that problem with the Users and Srvices and User Portal is because it only uses FQDN, not IP address. It's in the MAS relase notes.

Either assign name to your DNS or ass the host to your pc by foing to c:/WINDOWS/Ssystem32/drives/etc/hosts

rather embarrased by this.
I'm always preaching to others to RTFM cause you usually pick things up that you don't normally know and the first document to read is the release notes.

Cheers for that Mitelmatt -
in my defence though i did start reading the RN but lost interest cause I had been struggling with this for a while now.
anyway again thanks to all the responses!
