Hi All

Just installed a Mitel Apps Server for the first time.

Installed the MSL 8.3 ok and followed the instructions to install the 2nd CD with all the apps on it. all seemed ok.

Can browse to the server manager ok too. Under Applications there is Users and Services, Teleworker, Mobile Extension, Nupoint.

Can get into the Teleworker and Mobile extension portions ok but can't get into the Users and Services App. You click on it and you get a "page cannot be displayed" . Almost like the service etc hasn't been started? Am i missing something?

Also, tried putting a dummy config in with the config wizard but still no joy.

Anyyone had any experiences?

Go to your HOSTS file. Usually found here:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Open with notepad.

Add an entry for the IP address and name of MAS. Should look similar to this entry using your own information:

192.168.1.3 mas.company.com

(mas = servername and company.com = the domain)

Save the file. Go to IE and type in

http://servername+domain/server-manager.

You should be good after that.

FYI, if you plan on doing any kind of UM from the NuPoint, make sure that you do not use the default value for the domain (ie. company.local) The .local is not accepted by a lot of email servers.

The other option is to change your DNS server to point to the IP address of the mas server.

Not using the USP to programme the 3300 as that is already done!

Can't add or edit ME users directly in the ME app page anymore either i've noticed?

Ya, you have to add users and then enable them for TW and ME. Then the user will show up in the ME pages.

preferred it the other way !! :)

Once they're added can you edit them in the ME page?

No, pretty sure that you have to edit through the user pages. You can only start and stop in the ME page.
