Does anyone has any suggestions with regards to multiple call ringing between 2 sites? I have 2 PABXs, one at each site which have a DDI pool serviced by a single ISDN30e @ site A. Which connects to Site B over TIE trunks to Cisco Routers (one at each site) and makes use of a co-ordinated dialing plan.

Details:
- number pool from 0000 - 1999
- number 1999 currently terminates at site B, and is captured by an IDC table at site A and prefixed with a 3 digit 'site code' (eg 102)
- CDP recognises 'site code' passes to correct RLI which in turn passes number to site B, stripping of the 3 digits
- 1999 has been programmed to TN at site B - call is succesfully routed.

The problem:

- Director only wants ONE number for both phones at each site, and has made it clear he wants the number to ring on both phones (not a 'forward' if one doesn't answer).

Given the current set-up above, the call has completely left site A as soon as it goes down the TIE trunk, meaning MCR does not work.

Is there some kind of workaround fudge that anyone can think of ????? (even if it is just some 'clever forwarding' or something, which may appease!)

Thanks in advance

:)

Can't be done, not simultaneously anyway.

My only solution would be to set up a phone at site B with a new DN. FDN the number at Site A to site B and FDN the number at Site B to Site A. Then adjust the number of rings to a minimum (otherwise the person ringing may get bored and hang up).

The only other answer is to use an MIPCD card this would sort the problem.

Do you have the Virtual Office software?

With this director could login where ever he happens to be and get calls there.

Another option would be to use the MIPCID product and redirect calls between the two sites.

Either of which will achieve what you are trying to do.
