Hello,

I have a customer phone where it seems like the MARP on their second, "rollover", line un-MARPS (?) at night.

Caller get a busy signal if he is on 7177 instead of it hunting or rolling to 6177. I took a look yesterday in TM and there was no MARP on 6177. I enabled it and the problem with busy signals went away.

Now today, same problem and it wasn't MARP again.

Anyone ever heard of this? How could I fix this?

Here's the phone:

Not sure why it would be unmarp'ing, but try setting the CLS FLXA.

That CLS keeps a digital from disabling during midnight routines, but you have a different type of issue.

FLXA is set to denied. I'm going to keep an eye on it. Maybe TM didn't transmit last night?..... I'm going to check my logs

I'm going to check my logs

that's the key, your using otm.. all bets are off.. when you use command line, you make dynamic changes.. they work every time.. otm may be restoring old data, the change didn't run etc..

the switch can not decide to change the marp to another set without a keystroke.. and even with that line marped on another set, lhk takes priority over hunt..every time

My logs say that the changes went through, but there's a twist. Yesterday the 7177 was not MARP, but 6177 was. Today it was the opposite 6177 not MARP, but 7177 was.

What is it in the programming that controls calls rolling over to the second line? The number of keys to hunt feature is set to 1.

What's lhk?

The plot thickens! Another user in that building just reported the same issue. The 0 key are their phone was not MARP either!

One of your resources is the "Date" entry on the TN - which specifies the last time the TN was edited by someone or by TM. If there is some corruption (which it sounds like there is), you will lose MARP. but the DATE will not have changed.

LHK is the "KEY number where up-the-strip-hunting" stops.

LHK occurs before the HUNT number is sought - or another way to put it: When all the KEYs up to the LHK key are busy, then the HUNT DN is sought.

Sorry, that's what I meant here

"The number of keys to hunt feature is set to 1."

LHK is set to 1

If you MUST use OTM (which is junk) then make sure you tell it to synchronize immediately and watch it make the changes to ensure they happen. I hate OTM for this very reason. BTW make sure your CLS is HTA.

Technology....is a strange thing. It brings you gifts with one hand and stabs you in the back with the other.

Ok, so today both phones stayed MARP. But now, only one line rings, even though they are both SCR.

I agree about using TM, I think I'll stay with the terminal as much as possible.

And, CLS is set to HTA.
