Hi,

We have a network deployed with a Cisco 3845 Router with the NM-80GB Content Engine installed. We also have a device on the network that will be doing traffic shaping.

The issue we are seeing is that the total level of download traffic exceeds the link by as much as 2Mbps due to the CE doing its job!

Does anyone know if it is possible for the CE to mark the packets if the data is cache-hit as apposed to being downloaded over the link?

This would allow me to program our traffic shaper to ignore the cached data from the shaping calculations. The traffic shaper can recognise any sort of packet marking.

Thanks in advance.
