Any suggestions for marketing my samll telcom. installation and service biz.

I install several brands of voice ( key and PBX ) and data system for small to medium business.

Iprovide a lot of 24/7 rush and emergency sevices as well.

Any tips for advertising, networking etc. that you have used to build up more business?

Newspaper and yellow pages ads work as does visiting perspective clients and offering your services.

Networking groups like BNI:

are an excellent source of developing referrals. You need to really work it, so if you're not 100% into it, look elsewhere. My wife's insurance agency thrives on their BNI group and the point is everyone in the group refers others in their specialty, they don't necessarily need to know that you're a 1-man shop, you're a service provider that all these members need.
