Margins for Header and Footer 1

Is it possible to change the margins for Headers and Footers so they are different from the main part of the document. I have tried using section breaks but the Header just changes to the new margins I set for the document. To illustrate, I want the header and footer margins to be 1 inch left and 1 inch right. Then I want the main part of the document to be 2 inch left and 2 inch right.

Can you not do this by selecting all the text on the page you want to change the margins on, change the margins and choose "Selected Text" from the dropdown box as opposed to "Whole document" Rgds
