We connected MICOM MARATHON 3K multiplexer to TELLABS ( model : MARTISDXX, STU-160 ) modem for voice communication.
The micom multiplexer is hanging after a link outage. After sometime the line is restored but the link remains down. It comes up only after restarting the multiplexer. We have verified all the other componets in the circuit ( like modem ) and they are working ok.
On couple of occassions we observed the link was down and it started working as soon as we restarted the Micom multiplexer. At this point we verified with local service provider and they informed us that there were no alarms or line outages.
The same multiplexer is being used for the past few years on satellite link (point to point) without any issues. Last week we moved to fibre optic ( point to point) link.
Any clues please suggest.
The main problem people may not available after office hrs to restart the multiplexer.
