Hello

I have read that Crystal Reports is able to generate maps.
Sounds good to me, but I have not found a lot of details about :
- maps : generic maps or user-defined maps?
- export format : jpg possible?
- Can CR be ran as/in a stand-alone application that generates maps from a DB (batch) ?

Thanks.

You won't find much detail, because there isn't much detail. The mapping feature is a sample given away by Map Info to work with CR, but it isn't well supported by either Seagate or Map Info.

Think of these maps as similar to a bar chart, but instead of a bigger bar for Indiana, Indiana turns darker on a map of the US. It works OK if you subtotal by State or by Country, otherwise you have to buy and install other map layers without any documentation on how to do it. Ken Hamady
