Hi,

I need to transform data of an input format to output of xml format in DSTX-Mercator 6.7. Here the output type tree is downloaded from an XSD. It is a direct one to one mapping.

I couldn’t map an input type tree value to output type tree value, as when mapping to one value of the output type tree all other values are getting disabled.

Please let me know how to achieve mapping with a XSD generated type tree.

Thanks!

When you import the xds, the type tree has a Global group that is a choice of everything that can occur in the xml.
I find this very confusing for mapping so i delete everything from the Global group except for the top level xml element. This then makes mapping much easier as you can't get the wrong starting point and end up with everything greyed out.
However, you can avoid your problem by mapping to the top level in your current type tree so that only the useless bits are greyed out.
