Domain A and Domain B are in 2 separate forests.
We have users that log into domain A, but who need to access a share in Domain B.

Users can VPN from Domain A into Domain B.

We want to have a script that runs after the users have run the VPN connectivity into Domain B:
- To Check if that user is part of Group X in Domain B
- If yes, Map drive to a share in Domain B

I had a similar problem of two domains and shared drives. What I did was:
1) To have matching user accounts in domain A and B.
2) Had domain B set a trust to domain A.
3) Added mapping instructions to both login scripts for a shared drive on domain B and A.
4) Finally, login to domain B, map those drives via B login script, automatically login to domain A, map those drives via login script.

Sounds complicated but it really isn't.

Regards,
David.
