Hello
If I have a report based on tables and I write a stored procedure that retrieves data from the same fields plus other fields, can I do set location, as change the tables with the stored procedure, mapping the fields?
What will happen with the formulas that refer fields from the tables?
Sorry, but I don't have here access to enterprise manager to do tests right now.
Thank you

A report with tables has multiple database objects, butthe sp is a single object.

You can only map the SP to the table with the most fields using set datasource.

High light report table then point to your SP
This will open a mapping window. Map fields as required.

Database expert remove all other tables and then save.

Each formula will now complain and you can replace table field with SP field.

If you have any groups or fields in select expert you will have to do this manually.

Any fields (not mapped to SP) on design view will also be lost and will have to be replaced manually.

Save report with another name before doing this, I have known reports to be corrupted beyound use if you miss a change in select expert or group. If that happens you can try again from the save report.
