I'm new to novell. I am going over the current configuration at the company in order to understand the complete lay out. When you boot up the NT server and log in a window asking for the Netware user and password appears. It then maps the sys volume to the NT server.

Can someone explain this process ???

Thanks!!!!!!

You pretty much explained it yourself. That's what happens, along with any login script that you have associated with that user/container/context. What in particular are you wanting to know?

there is no login script in the user properties profile...the login to the netware server when you log into NT appears as a result of netware gateway? Where is this script placed to execute on the NT server? just trying to understand.....thanks!

ah, I was thinking that the NetWare client was installed on the NT server. If you go to Control Panel and to the Gateway Services for NetWare icon, there should be mappings for the netware volumes on one of the tabs. I don't remember exactly which tab though as it has been awhile since I've seen the Gateway.
