Mapping small Db with Visio

Hi all and thanks for reading my post.

I have an Oracle 9i Db running on a remote server (Linux) and I would like to create a visual map of the schema. Is this possible with Visio 2001?

That is one of Visio's selling points. There should be no reason you cannot create an Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) with Visio. Provided you have a valid tnsnames.ora file on the client running Vision, you should be able to just follow Visio's ERD-Wizard's prompts to get your results.
