We are having problems with 2 users being able to map a Sharepoint Network drive. The users can login to the WSS site, and can get into the folders just fine from the webpage. When I try to map the folder on their machine (using map network drive) it says that the path is not valid.

I am able to connect to these folders on about 90% of our users machines, it is these 2 users whose machines are having issue. Does anyone have a suggestion for a fix for this?

Hello,

If you are able to connect in 90% of the cases it sure looks like there are settings either on the client or on the user permissions that might be preventing access. Have you compared these two machines with the others that you are able to connect from? To rule out any permission issue have you tried logging on with the user accounts that does not work on another machine where you have been able to successfully map a network place? And vice versa?

We have had some issues with displaying webfolders on some machines, but we did not get the same error as you. We simply just could not display any content in Webfolders (both through Explorer view and as a mapped network place). What we had to do was to disable the Webclient service on the client machines.

Regards,
Thomas
