Mapping Novell Directory to W2003

Hello,
Having a problem. New W2k3 server, mapped a drive to a Novell 6.5 server. Selected "Reconnect at login" box, using different username/password (than that for logging into the w2k3 server).
Can browse, etc the Novell directory. However, when I reboot the W2k3 server it does not reconnect. If you click the mapping it will shows correct username but no password. Enter password reconnects the mapping. Any ideas of what I need to click, set or select to solve this?

Try synchronizing the passwords between the two so you can use the same password?

Hmm. Well the administrator password is different (of course) from the username used for the mapping. But what throws me off is that when I click on the mapped drive (that shows as disconnected) popup says that either the username or password is unknown/incorrect. Yet if I type the password into that dialog the drive reconnects. I did try createing a user on the W2k3 server with same username and password - but that didn't solve problem. I've also (just to make certain my fingers are too clumsy) manually map anoterh drive using same username and password.

If you attempt to setup a persistent mapping you have to either;

1. Have same username/password on both Win2K3 and Novell servers
OR
2. Map with a different account but the passwords have to be the same (ex) administrator/passwd1 = novelluser/passwd1

Otherwise you will be prompted for the password.

Alternately you can script it (in either a login script or batch file as follows)

net use x: /del
net use x: \\novellserver\share <password> /u:<username>
