Hi, I was sent a share on a remote server and was asked to map a drive to it. The share is something like
\\60.102.140.198vss$

Can I just map a drive to it or do I have to first Remote Desktop to 60.102.140.198 and then map a drive to vss?

thanks

If it is a Windows environment, right click on my computer, select map drive and put your path in.

Double click "My computer". At the top click on "Tools". On the dropdown list click on "Map Network Drive" Chose a drive letter that suits you. Type in or copy & Paste the address in the "Folder" box. Click finish. It should open the share after you click finish, Since it's a remote share, give a second to connect.

Hope this helps

James
