I am having a problem with a seamless application that relies on the temp folder in C to operate. When users launch this Citrix App when connected through our VPN, their "C" drive is defaulted to \\Client\C$ (which is normal). This drive maps, however it states that there are 0 objects. This only happens to VPN clients!!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Wow....what a weird application. Hardcoded to look for C:\????

Anyway....check the citrix client security to make sure that the applciation is "allowed full access" to local client files.

If \\Client\C$ is your UNC share on the terminal server, can you browse via network neighborhood? Perhaps you need to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP to pass through your VPN devices.

I believe this may solve your problem (copied and pasted from another forum):

Try this: have the affected user login to citrix. At the bottom of their screen, they will have to right click on the citrix window that appears in the task bar (near the start menu). A window should appear. Select "Client Security Status." In that window, select "full access" and "never ask me again for any application."
