Hi there,

we are trying to map a network drive on a Windows 3.1 system. The drive is shared on a WindowsXP PC. Are there any known issues that cause trouble?

Does Windows 3.1 support encrypted passwords? I read about problems with Samba and older Windows OS types with this topic...

No issues that I've come across - the only thing to be careful of is the limitation of a DOS machine connecting to a share name of no more than 8 characters.

I have no experience of encrypted passwords in this type of environment though.
