Does anyone else have this problem?

Server: Windows2000 server or Win NT server

clients: Window xp home

Client PCs will not reconnect to mapped network drives. The "reconnect at logon" is checked but on a reboot the "RED X" disconnected drive showes up.

Any insight?

When this happens, it is usually because the mapped drive is not available when the client is started/booted. The mapped drive might not be available due to a power saving condition or the server is offline for some reason.

Have you tried clicking on the mapped drives with the red x after the system is fully booted? had one client that wouldnt reconnect at log on but was acessible afterwards, for some reason it just needed more time than windows allowed
