All of my users log into a desktop session to run their apps. I put a batch file in startup that maps them to their network drives. When I want to add a drive I edit their batch file in the startup folder of their user profile folder. This was working until I tried to change an existing mapped drive. Even if I change it in the batch file and save the batch file, when I run it, it will still map them to the old shared resource. The only way is to ADD a drive letter. The only way around this was to destroy the profile and start another one. I cannot find a switch or file that is keeping a record of these drives. Any ideas?

Intressting thing...
I have noticed a somewhat similar thing. I'm working with Citrix (1.8 and XP) together with Scada-systems (controlling industrial applications like elevators, escalators, ventilation and so on). The thing is that during a logon to a application one of the client software is required to use a mapped network drive.
When we first launched the application (without any mapping done in windows environment, by script or manual mapping) the application noticed that the drive was not mapped so we got a dialogue box that gave us the ability to make the mapping, GREAT we thought, this will surely do it and it did, the app worked. BUT, the thing is that the mapping was done to the Anon000 account on the MF server that Metaframe adds when installing it on the Windows server.

Conclusion, the mapping we did is attached to the Anon000 account (the first ICA-connection to the server) regardless what user account is logging on to the machine.(Verified by that next machine logging on with the same account did not map the drive)
So if i start Notepad (published) and get the connection with Anon000 account is still maps the drive, and as far as my knowledge goes Notepad surely NOT need a network drive to work. :)
So far I haven't found out where the mapping resides (registry/or whereever on the MF server) to sort this out...

Sorry that I can't solve the issue but this might get your thoughts goin' on how to solve your issue.

Best regards,

Chris
