I have deploy password policy in my win 2003 AD, so user enforce to change their password every month.

But when the password changes, they can not reconnect to mapped drive ( another server ) automatically. I have to disconnect all the drives and reconnect them with the proper credentials.

Any other thought would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are doing static mappings on the workstations which stores the user credentials used to map the drive.

You would be far better off adding the drive mappings to your login script so they automatically get mapped when the user logs on then you won't get this issue.

Solved !

I just change my prefered DNS to my DC IP.
Thanks God, you have open my mind how to understand the credentials characteristic.

@TheLad

Thanks in advanced.
Yes, I have already tried to use login script. But it's impact to my PC performance when system startup or when I open windows explorer. Also this way is not effective, if user want to create another map drive, I should modify the login script :-(

So I tried to find out alternatif solution... done! using DNS pointing.
