Hi,
using Win2K I am experiencing strange behaviour with mapped drives. I use mapped drive as part of backup script on one of our servers, and script is coded to drop existing mapping if exists and then recreate it. This has worked before and does work now except that after a few days the path of the mapping in explorer is replaced with 'network drive' and while I can see the files on the mapped drive I can't drop the mapped drive as it says it doesn't exist.
Any ideas why this is ahppening and howe to fix it?
If I reboot machine, the mapped drive is dropped and I can then remap the drive and it will work for a few days before returning to this strange behaviour.
I have just applied SP3 in the hope that this might fix the problem.
Your help much appreciated.
