MAPI32 Compliance

Is Lotus Notes MAPI32 compliant. We've got a new printer/scanner/copier combo that can scan to e-mail. The machine requires the e-mail client being used to be MAPI32 compliant. It would be great if I could setup new machine to use the existing installations of Lotus Notes instead of the WAB (windows addresss book) in Windows.

The WAB aids in the propagation of nasty viruses....

afaik, Notes is MAPI compliant, but the implementation's none too solid although it should be improved a bit with the upcoming R6 release, where it will allow you to select Notes as your default addressbook provider instead of wab.
