MAPI errors with Access 2k and Lotus Notes

I have an Access 97 database that generates a note and sends it out via MAPI to Lotus Notes v5.0.10, and it works fine.

I'm in the process of migrating this database to Access 2000, and when I send mail, the first one goes fine. All attempts after that give the following error:

"The MAPI service has ended abruptly. Please close all applications and restart the computer."

I can just close the apps and restart them and it will consistently duplicate this error.

Any insight or questions are welcome.
