Following upgrade from Server 2003 R2 to Server 2008 R2, mapping a drive (from an XP machine works but) from a Vista machine to the DFS share fails with
>>> System error 53 has occurred.
while mapping a drive to server share works.
What did we miss in the upgrade?
I see my Vista machine successfully does a "GET_DFS_REFERRAL" of \ADDomain\gu\ to \\stuff\GU (and to a second server).
From Vista:
C:>net use r: \\ADDomain\gu\its\pub
System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.
C:>net use r: \\stuff\its\pub
The command completed successfully.
