map sharepoint document library as web folder

Hi all,
i'm trying to map a sharepoint doc library as a web folder to upload a consistent number of documents.

Here are the oprations i'm doing (on winXP professional Service pack 2):

1. map a network drive
2. inserting this path: \\server_name\mysite\myDocLibrary
3. but at this point server asks me username and password
4. user and pwd i insert are correct but it continues to ask me user and password
5. At this point i can't continue...

Really don't know what i'm doing wrong...

Any ideas?

An network drive and webfolder are seperate things..
I hev heard reports of network drives working and not working,for you and me its not working.

But Webfolders are working!, if u are lucky it shows up under your Network places. But the most reliable way to make this shortcut to the "Webfolder" is a bit of a work around but not dificult!

step 1:
open a IE window

step 2:
press Control + o
(or goto File/open..)

step 3:
Check the open as webfolder box

step 4:
insert the url of the webfolder (ie

http://server:mabyeaportnumber/site/orsubsite)

press enter.

step 5:
the location now opens as webfolder, add this page to favorites (delete it later)

step 6:
drag the shortcut from favorites to the location you want the shortcut to the webfolder. (delete it from favorite if you want to ofcourse).

step 7:
finished!

I hope this helps you, you do how ever always need office (2003) installed or the install file for Webdev i believe (gets installed with office) to make these webfolders available.

If anyone knows a nicer way to do this please post it..
