Map Ip and device name 1

looking for a quick way to ping everything in a subnet and then drop info to a text file ? also if I could pick up the name of the device that would be nice to

I use Angry IP Scanner... does the trick.

Or you can use WMI and vbscript, however I would second that AngryIP is a very useful tool for this kind of quick report.
