I have a problem that I can't seem to figure out. I have a domain that has a login script configured with a GPO. So basically when ppl log on at work in the morning the GPO kicks in and maps all there network drives for them. The problem starts for laptop users....if the same user goes home in the evening and wants to work he needs to connect to our Radius server with VPN client. Problem is once connected he has none of his mapped drives...he has to manually run the .vbs script to get those drives back. Reason is that when he gets home and logs into his PC he still logs onto the domain (even though its not available) it uses cached info I guess and allows him on....at this point he connects via VPN...but because he's already logged into the domain it dosen't RUN the GPO for the mapped drives which is set to run at Logon......how can I solve this.....reg users cant be running .vbs scripts manually.

I have seen this before, but it was with the Cisco VPN.

There is an option in the Cisco VPN to do VPN before logging in. If you turn this on, once you connect to the internet, it will ask you to VPN, then login to the PC and it will be as if you were sitting in the office.

Hope this helps

Sorry...We do use Cisco VPN but....if I'm at home and I have broadband....how am I supposed to run the VPN before login if I need to login just to access my VPN? I mean it makes sence with dial-up....but otherwise I don't see how this could work.

If your router at home is always connected, it will try to connect. If not, you can specify a program to run before logging in. The VPN will come up, and start your dialer or whatever you need, then once the VPN is established, and you log into the PC, it will run your login scripts.
