Does anybody have a MS Project 2003 template for the manufacturing process. I have done a google search but didn't come up with any good results.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply but I still didn't find anything. Anybody have any other suggestions?

Manufacturing a car is quite different from manufacturing sewing machines. That's probably why you won't find a useful generic template.

Perhaps an industry association (I know that's a stretch) may have something.

I, personally, wouldn't look for a project template but, rather, for a checklist of "things to do". A generic checklist should give you the rough idea of the deliverables and, once you've identified the deliverables, the rest of the schedule development will just fall into place. From there, it's the old iteration game: does this make sense? what's been left out that we need? what's been put in that we don't need? Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Thanks for the update. I was afraid that's the answer that I'd get. So we have started doing just that. Manufacturing has such a wide range of "tasks" that it probably would be hard to come up with template because it would most likely be unique to what you are manufacturing. Thanks for your help.
