I remember a while back there was a posting for a site that had really a lot of manuals, it was a great site but... I have lost it, anyone remember? Or know of any other ones?
whats the problem with the end user being able to access the install manuals, most are beyond their laver of expertice and if the can do it more power to them. I usually show my clients how to do simple programming it saves me more headaches than the billable work order I will get out of it! their happy and I keep as clients them longer than if I charge them for every little thing.
If you just want your customers to be able to carry out simple changes such as Speed dial, Names or Time and Date etc, then use my old guide that I did for the very old Norstars.
I understand curly's point. One of our customers had a disgruntled employee that googled a manual, and changed the installer pswd. They were lucky he didn't do more damage. (Another argument for changing default pswds.)
Honestly, though, the advice we offer here could do a lot of damage in the wrong hands.
textfiles.com had a bunch. Higher level manuals are a little harder to find, but I do remember these guys had a fair variety.
