Manually Summing in the Select Statement

I am writing a report and I am attempting to manaully insert a sum in the SQL statement using Sum(file."field&quot. However, when I click OK in the SQL editor it does not save my changes.

Is there a way to manually update the SQL to sum in the Select Statement?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

In version 9, not previous versions.

Create a View or a Stored procedure in those cases, or let Crystal use it's sum function after the rows are returned.
