Manually removing indents?

Hi,

Apparently while "placing" my document from .rtf into Indesign, the indents got all messed up, and now they're uneven. Some are at a full inch while others are at .3 inch.

The document is a good 400 pages long. Is there any way to fix all of these messed up indents without going through every paragraph manually? I would do a "find/change" but in order to indent, you gotta push tab, and we all know why that doesn't work.

Also, I tried fiddling with the paragraph styles and it isn't working either, it partially fixes the problem, but I still have to go through and realign paragraphs that have uneven indentation.

Any help is much appreciated.

I assume you just brought, via a multi page flow, the rtf into the ID doc. If so, it could be easies to just open the rtf - probably a Word doc - Save as text and then use Place, which will replace what you already put in.

The simply reformat as you wish. If you apply the paragraph style to your master text frame, the formatting will carry through.
