manually editing config.xml

Hi,
I'm working with WL 8.1SP3, and I need to add the atribute 'StatementTimeout' to
'JDBCConnectionPool' entry in config.xml.
The weblogic console can not do the job, but manually edit config.xml work fine.
Subsequently when I use WL console to make other changes, the system overwrite any manual changes.

hi,

u can try this.
1. copy existing config.xml to config.xml.old
2. Shutdown the admin server and managed servers
3. Modify the config.xml
4. rename config.xml.booted to config.xml.booted.old
5. Start Admin server and manage servers.
