manually answer the external call

hi all,
one of my friend working in the panasonic PBX,

he have a problem , he configur external line to ring on a specific sets. when any call come to the externall line the set answer the call automatically. he could not change this feature to answer the call manually ?

any one face this problem before ?

I still am not sure what you are asking! But if an ext
is asigned to ring on a specific line(and you have been asssigned access to that line) you can lift the hand set and you have automatically answered the call.If you ext is not asigned to ring on said line(and you have access to the ringing line) then you will have to push the flashing red button and lift the handset to answer the call.

ok, let me make an example:

External line say CO trunk 001 assigin to ring at the station 201.

We have now an incommimg call ringing station 201 from the external line 001.


Automatically the call is answered and the mic and speaker is opend.


When we need is to configure the set to manually answer the external call by picking up the hock.
