Manually Adding Arp Entry On 6509

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the exact command to use for adding a MAC address to the ARP table of a 6509. No VLANs are in use.

Also, I understand that such static entries remain in the switch, even on reload, unless manually removed. In your experience, is this true? Will 'clear arp' remove the entry?

Ok, well I have found out what the command is on my own, but I am still not certain that the entry stays with the switch on reload or 'clear arp'.

Can anyone clear this up for me?
