For a user running Symposium 4.0 Client, I need to install the SU10 patch to take care of the 512MB RAM limit issue. However, in order to install 10, I first have to uninstall patch 12 (per the error message when installing 10). I have no idea how to manually uninstall a patch, and have been unsuccessful in finding any uninstall commands within the program. Does anyone know how to uninstall this patch? Thanks!

I would probably uninstall the entire client and then reinstall. The uninstall sometimes leaves entries in the registry which have to be manually removed.

In the past when I have uninstalled the client, the patches have remained. They do not get uninstalled with the main program. I have never successfully been able to uninstall them. I looked through registry keys the other day and I found the key that points to the most recent update that was installed. But I am wary of just deleting that key without knowing all of the ramifications. I have had bad experiences in the past with uninstalling Symposium and having issues getting it to work again on the same machine. Do you know if removing that update key (or setting the value to null) will make the machine think the patch 12 has been removed?

if you're looking at the pepviewer on the client, on the bottome of the screen should be a button labeled "remove all" or "remove last". clicking on either one will remove the patches.

I uninstall the PEPs and the client and then do a clean install; I delete the entries in the registry; the "uninstall" will uninstall the program but leaves "remnants" in the registry.

I do not have either of those options on my PEP Viewer. That was the first place I looked. On the PEP Records tab, I only have "Read Me" and "Exit."
