Hi All, We have a unique situation in as much as we have 3 golf courses connected to our Option 11c with Mini remote carriers, using CallPilot. They each uses 2 menus, essentially and open or closed menu. Since the hours of operation depend on the weather [people can't golf in the rain] they would like to have a way to manually turn on the night menu with the flip of a button. We can't use a DRC because the courses are so far apart, one might be closed because of a lightning storm, while another would still have golfers out with overcast weather.

Any ideas on how to have each site switch the menus back and forth?

the best way would be have the golf course change the announcement recording through prompt maint as needed.. that allows them to customize the recording, today, Friday the 14 we will be closed due to another hurricane.. the bad thing is the mail looks at the original dialed dn, the fastest way to erase that is to forward out and back in to a weather closed menu.. i had to do that to a large switch so i added 2 pri's back to back... gov office that had a time of day but needed an open but having a drill menu as well.. because inbound calls hit the main number, then a menu, then the console, if the console went to nights, that msg pretty much said call back later.. by putting a phone in with the pilot number, that station could cfxa out and back in to the err situtation menu.. the switch sees it as a new call to a different did, diff menu etc

Thanks John, We are in the process of converting the third course. We just converted a second course and they are such a BASIC level of user that they complained that they have to dial 9 instead of 8 like on their old system [no we will not change it] they are hard to train!
We can't have them change the main greeting on the menu because it states "Thank you for calling...press 1 for reservations for today, press 2 for...press 6 for... and they would have to re-record the entire thing daily.

Do you think it would work with 2 pri's for each site?

Your input [as always] is greatly appreciated!!

The only info I can find on PRI looks like it is used for ISDN, we have DS1/T1 lines that route from the Option 11c to each mini-remote carrier...Please advise.

In meridian mail we use "remote activation". Not sure on the call pilot but you may want to research it.
