Hi:

I have a report which is pulling kinds of leasing traffic by day of the week by property.

i.e.
Sunday 04/01/1999 Call Grove Apartments
Sunday 04/01/1999 Show Grove Apartments
Monday 04/02/1999 Return Visit Peak Apartments
Monday 04/02/1999 Show Grove Apartments
etc.

I want a crosstab that would be the days of the week as columns and the kind of traffic as the rows. Then a count of the kinds of traffic per day of the week with a total per property.

Sun Mon Tues Weds Thu Fri Sat
Call 1 0 0 4 1 0 1
Show 1 1 0 5 6 4 2
Return 0 1 2 3 4 5 5
Grove Apts 2 2 2 12 11 9 8
Then continue again for next apartment complex

I have tried various groupings and can't seem to build this crosstab correctly. I've looked through the postings but I don't really see one which pertains to this situation. If there is, I apologize.

p.s. if there are formulas I need - please include an example as I am really green on crystal formulas.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Can't tell what your fields are for sure, but I think you can use an inserted crosstab where you use {table.property} as the first row and {table.traffictype} as the second row, and count of some recurring field as the summary. For the column, if you want to show the day of the week for a specific week, you can use {table.date} and then format it to show only the day of the week. If you want all Sundays to appear to be summarized together, all Mondays, etc., then create a formula:

weekdayname(dayofweek({table.date}))

...and use that as the column field.
