Here's the low-down...

I have file parent file X, that has x,y,z layers all turned off. I want to open file X, then turn on layer x, save it, turn off layer x and turn on layer y, save it and so forth.

So end the end i would have 4 images, all with DIFFERENT file names.

Is that possible?

And another less trivial one, can i select x files from a folder and batch the layers x,y,z into each of them?

Hi Jeremy,

Not too sure about saving them with different filenames, but it should be quite simple to open x files from a folder and batch certain layers into them. I automated this process by recording a new action which opens the files containing the required layers, copies the layers and pastes them into the new file. This seemed to work fine.

Hope this helps Nick (Web Designer)
