Manipulating data during loops

Hi everyone!

I'm using Gentran 4.0.02. Automotive world - 856. I have a customer that needs data manipulated as such:

CLD
REF
CLD
REF, ETC...

Currently, the data comes out our system:

CLD
CLD
REF
REF

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

Well, if you were using Ascential DS TX, I would say you forgot to call a functional map, but I don't know Gentran.

What about Gentran's support group?

What order of fields is the data being recieved as?
It sounds as if you have looping CLD record and a looping REF record instead of a looping group with a CLD and a REF record.

It is hard to show the layout on screen but here goes:
What you may have:

CLD record (that repeats many times)
REF record (that repeats many times)

What you may be looking for:

Group (that repeats many times)
|- CLD Record sub of Group (one occurance)
|- REF record sub of Group (one occurance)
