I have a probleme with my mandrake 7.2:
When it start, it stop at aurora service but telnet,dns.. work finelly.
when try to go to ttyx with (ctrl+alt+fx)their is no text "login:", so i can't start the XWindow.

!!!??? I am lost who i can stop aurora from booting at startup (using telnet), in /etc/initd.conf there is no aurora !

Hi,

It looks to me as if the install zaps the /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit script to test for aurora and, if found, executes it. The most obvious way to disable it would be to uninstall the rpm (su to root first ) :

rpm -e aurora

Hope this helps
