Hi:
I've got a problem that is puzzling me, I have created a Temp User in Active directory and then logon to Windows 2000 and made changes to the desktop e.g change theme and wallpaper and I have login as Administrator and copied the temp profile up to the server, making sure to rename the ntuser.dat file to .man.

I have then pointed several users to this profile and then logged in as a user to test this profile, they get all of the changes I have made but the wallpaper, it does not seem to have been sent up to the server with the rest of the data.

Why is this and can you suggest anyway of solving this problem as I have several groups with several users that I want to have different wallpapers and settings.

Thank you

Include the desktop image in the folder that the roaming profile is in.

Set the wallpaper from the roaming profile folder.

What I bet is happening is that it cant find the desktop image anywhere, so it defaults to windows blue or something.

Put the file in the roaming desktop folder, select it and tell it to be the background, then log out.
Test it out after that.
