This is my first citrix xp install and I can't get far....the managment console won't open...I found the problem in the final release notes. It states the console shortcut must be amended to point to the correct java directoy...I've tried typing everyway they say to and then some...no luck. This is a FR 2 on 2k server if it matters. managment console won't open...java error

I ran into this problem at a site where they had installed an application that installed a different version of java. The problem is the Java directory that the CMC is attempting to run from. I believe I reinstalled either Java the CMC or both. I can't remember the exact solution, but I remember it was fairly straight forward after I realized what was going on.
Go to and search for Document ID: CTX742351. This explains it fairly well.
