I was tasked with digging down in a 600+ gig root directory of the IFS building a table with all the subdirectories, objects within, and a few parameters like date created, date used, etc. When I get started, I'll probably have some programming questions if I do this with RPG (thinking about VB). My question is, does anyone have any suggestions on how this table(s) should be built? Has anyone done this and have the normalized data structure that I can look at? Does anyone know of any off the shelf IFS managing software that could do this out of the box?
