managing pop-up windows

I would like a po-up to show a large version of a phot. I want the pop-up always to be on top and I want it to close either after a certain number of second OR when the user clicks back into the parent.

Any suggextions?

You might be happier without a popup... there is no good way to do what you want.

I like things more like:

Obviously you'd have to customize it to close after a time limit.
