Managing Data queues in 2 AS400 box

I'm not very familiar with data queues. Basically, we want to be able to communicate between the two box. For instance, invoke a command or send out a message to the second box everytime something has changed on the first box and vice versa. I'm not even sure if this is possible through data queues. If so, could someone maybe explain to me how this process can be done. Thanks.

Check the IBM Communication Redbooks. There must be an example that shows how to communicate between two AS/400 and send data between them either via data queues or network files.
